Welcome to Foxrock & District Garden Club

Welcome to the website of the Foxrock & District Garden Club. I am delighted to introduce you to our Club and hope you enjoy discovering more about who we are and what we do.

Established in June 1988, the Club was founded to deepen members’ knowledge of gardening and plants, and to share the pleasure they bring. Since then, it has grown a loyal membership who enjoy a varied programme of talks, garden visits, and gardening trips both in Ireland and abroad.  Over the years, we have hosted many distinguished speakers and special events, enriching our members’ knowledge and love of gardening. Proceeds from our plant sales are donated to charities chosen by our members each year.  We also arrange a busy schedule of visits to private and public gardens both in Ireland and abroad.

Our Club year runs from September to June, with meetings held at 8.00 pm in the Parish Hall at Foxrock Church, usually on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with the exception of December. Members are asked to wear their Club lanyards at all meetings and events. New members can collect their lanyard at the door when attending their first meeting. We have an excellent line up of speakers and events planned for the year ahead. You can check out our upcoming talks and events in the sidebar, or click on Events Programme 2026-2027 for full details.

At present, because of space limitations, meetings are open to members only.

If you would like to apply for membership, please complete our online membership form. New members are admitted each September, subject to availability, as numbers are limited by the capacity of the hall. If applications exceed the places available, a waiting list is operated.

I look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon.  In the meantime, happy gardening!
