Club Outings

Foxrock and District Garden Club organises various gardening outings throughout the year. These generally consist of visits to gardens, many of them not usually open to the public and may be for a day or for several days. They may cover gardens and garden centres in Ireland or abroad. We travel by private coach which fortunately has plenty of room for the plants which we inevitably bring back.

Trips are generally only available to Foxrock and District Garden Club members and are announced as they become available both at our monthly meetings and on the website. They are very popular and members enjoy the opportunity to chat and exchange information and tips and promises of plants. Bookings are taken at monthly meetings. Members are advised to keep themselves informed of available trips as the places are allocated on a first come basis and there may be waiting lists.

Each summer two of our Club members open their gardens for a charity of the member’s choice. Occasionally the gardens have plants for sale. Visitors are welcome to these events, provided they are accompanied by a Club member.
