Lucie is a British gardener and self-confessed plant enthusiast who is now head gardener at Sparoza, the headquarters of the Mediterranean Garden Society in Greece. Having moved from the lush borders of Hampshire to the dry conditions of a Greek garden, she brings a distinctive perspective on plants, place and climate-responsive gardening. Inspired from an early age by her grandmother’s garden, and shaped by work in historic gardens, Lucie is passionate about horticulture as a living art form. She is particularly interested in Greek flora, drought-tolerant planting and helping gardeners create beautiful, natural and sustainable landscapes with less reliance on lawns and chemicals.
