The garden at Kilgarvan has continued to mature since our last post in 2021 – the photos attached have recently been taken.  Our plant sales in Emer’s garden have been very successful due, to a very large extent, to the generosity of our fellow members, both in donating plants and in your presence (often with family and/or friends} on the day.

Shortly after Dr. Mary Toomey’s death, her daughter, Aoife, contacted us to offer our choice of a plant from Mary’s garden and we now have a beautiful pink climbing rose on a party wall in Kilgarvan.

Emer, Catherine, Lucille, Patty and Summie continue our work on Wednesdays from early spring to late autumn and very much enjoy learning from each other and of course the cuppa and chat when we have finished our work.

Our sincere thanks to all of you who have supported the work which we do and which we hope enriches the lives of the residents and staff of Kilgarvan.
