On Sunday 3rd July 45 members left for a hugely enjoyable four day trip planned by Lucille and Toni to visit gardens mainly in Sligo and south Donegal. We were based in the Sligo Park Hotel where the staff looked after us very well - at least one of us has already booked a return [...]
On Saturday 23rd, July, 24 members of our club travelled to the Arboretum Garden Centre in Tullow to hear Diarmuid Gavin at the opening of the Carlow Garden Festival. Diarmuid gave us a very entertaining talk on his life as a garden designer from his early years when he was struggling to make ends meet [...]

He plied us with coffee and cake before taking us on a tour of his gardens, with its lovely selection of mature trees, [...]
In June we took a trip across the Liffey to North County Dublin, visiting St Anne’s Park Raheny to enjoy a guided tour of the gardens, finishing in the gloriously flamboyant and beautifully scented Rose Garden. After lunch in the Tir na nOg Cafe, it was back on the coach again as Nigel took us [...]
